We hope you are doing well and have been listening to the Ramadan videos on our Iqra website.
We would love for you to answer these three questions as best as you can:
- Why do Muslims fast during Ramadan?
- What lessons can we learn from fasting?
- How does fasting help us develop self-control and patience?
May Allah bless you and forgive you in this blessed month of forgiveness.
Jazakum Allahu khayran!

Wa alayum as-salam
1. Muslims fast during Ramadan because it’s a command from God. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, which are the main duties of Muslims. During Ramadan, they focus on getting closer to God, helping others, and being thankful for what they have.
2.Fasting teaches us to be disciplined, to be kind and help others who are hungry, and to be thankful for food and other blessings. It also gives us a chance to think about how we can improve ourselves.
3.Fasting helps us control our desires, like hunger and thirst. It teaches us patience because we have to wait until sunset to eat or drink. It shows us that we can handle challenges and trust that things will get better.
-
1. because its a lesson to see how people that dont have food feel like
2.We learn that not everyone has the same chances as you so be greatful
3.it helps us last longer without food which supports patience
