Why are these 2 verses Important:
• They affirm strong faith in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers
• They teach obedience and submission to Allah’s commands
• They remind us that Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear
• They include a powerful duʿāʾ (supplication) asking Allah for forgiveness, mercy, and
help
• They offer comfort and reassurance during hardship
• They emphasize personal responsibility and accountability
• They ask Allah for protection from mistakes and weakness
• The Prophet ﷺ taught that reciting them at night is sufficient for protection and
reward
THE PROPHET (ﷺ) SAID, “IF SOMEBODY RECITED THE LAST TWO VERSES OF SURAT AL-BAQARA AT NIGHT, THAT WILL BE SUFFICIENT FOR HIM.” Sahih al-Bukhari 5009
ءَ اﻣَﻦَ ٱﻟﺮﱠﺳُﻮلُ ﺑ ِﻤَ ﺎٓ أ ُ ﻧﺰ ِ لَ إ ِ ﻟ َ ﯿْﮫِ ﻣِﻦ رﱠ ﺑّ ِﮫِۦ و َ ٱﻟ ْ ﻤُﺆْﻣِ ﻨُﻮنَ ۚ ﻛُﻞﱞ ءَ اﻣَﻦَ ﺑ ِ ﭑ ﱠ ِ و َ ﻣَ ﻠ َ ـ ٰ ٓﺌِﻜَﺘِﮫِۦ و َ ﻛُﺘُﺒ ِﮫِۦ و َ رُﺳُﻠِﮫِۦ ﻻَ
ﻧُﻔَﺮّ ِقُ ﺑَﯿْﻦَ أ َﺣَﺪٍ ۢ ﻣّ ِﻦ رﱡﺳُﻠِﮫِۦ ۚ و َ ﻗَﺎﻟ ُﻮا ۟ ﺳَﻤِﻌْﻨَﺎ و َ أ َطَﻌْﻨَﺎ ۖ ﻏُﻔ ْﺮَ اﻧَﻚَ رَ ﺑﱠﻨَﺎ و َ إ ِ ﻟ َ ﯿْﻚَ ٱﻟ ْ ﻤَﺼِ ﯿﺮُ ٢٨٥ ﻻَ
ﯾُﻜَﻠ ّ ِﻒُ ٱ ﱠ ُ ﻧَﻔ ْﺴًﺎ إ ِﻻ ﱠ وُﺳْﻌَﮭَ ﺎ ۚ ﻟ َﮭَ ﺎ ﻣَ ﺎ ﻛَﺴَﺒَﺖْ و َﻋَ ﻠ َ ﯿْﮭَ ﺎ ﻣَ ﺎ ٱﻛْ ﺘَﺴَﺒَﺖْ ۗ رَ ﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ﻻَ ﺗُﺆَ اﺧِ ﺬ ْ ﻧَﺎٓ إ ِن ﻧﱠﺴِﯿﻨَﺎٓ أ َو ْ
أ َﺧْﻄَ ﺄ ْ ﻧَﺎ ۚ رَ ﺑﱠﻨَﺎ و َﻻَ ﺗَﺤْﻤِﻞْ ﻋَ ﻠ َ ﯿْﻨَﺎٓ إ ِﺻْﺮً ۭ ا ﻛَﻤَ ﺎ ﺣَﻤَ ﻠ ْ ﺘَﮫُۥ ﻋَ ﻠ َﻰ ٱﻟ ﱠ ﺬِﯾﻦَ ﻣِﻦ ﻗَﺒْﻠِﻨَﺎ ۚ رَ ﺑﱠﻨَﺎ و َﻻَ ﺗُﺤَﻤّ ِ ﻠ ْ ﻨَﺎ ﻣَ ﺎ ﻻَ
طَ ﺎﻗَﺔَ ﻟ َ ﻨَﺎ ﺑ ِﮫِۦ ۖ و َ ٱﻋْﻒُ ﻋَﻨﱠﺎ و َ ٱﻏْﻔِﺮْ ﻟ َ ﻨَﺎ و َ ٱرْﺣَﻤْ ﻨَﺎٓ ۚ أ َ ﻧﺖَ ﻣَﻮ ْ ﻟ َ ﯨٰﻨَﺎ ﻓَﭑﻧﺼُﺮْ ﻧَﺎ ﻋَ ﻠ َﻰ ٱﻟ ْ ﻘَﻮ ْ م ِ ٱﻟ ْ ﻜَـ ٰﻔِﺮ ِ ﯾﻦَ
