LESSON 5
الْبَارِئ — Al-Bāri’
Allah Made Animals
1. Why You Are Learning This
Animals come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors.
Some animals fly in the sky.
Some swim in the water.
Some walk, run, crawl, or jump on the earth.
This lesson will help you notice the wonderful variety of animals Allah created and remember that Allah is Al-Bāri’.
By the end of this lesson, you will know:
- Allah created all animals.
- Allah created animals in different forms.
- Every animal is part of Allah’s creation.
- We should treat animals with kindness and care.
2. Name of Allah
الْبَارِئ
Al-Bāri’ — The One Who Brings Creation Into Being
Al-Bāri’ is one of the beautiful Names of Allah.
Allah brings His creation into being as He wills.
Look at how different animals are.
Allah made birds with wings.
Allah made fish that swim.
Allah made horses that run.
Allah made tiny ants and huge animals.
Each animal has its own body, abilities, and way of living.
Remember
Allah is Al-Bāri’. He brought all creatures into being as He willed.
3. Qur’an Anchor
هُوَ اللَّهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ
Huwa Allāhul-Khāliqul-Bāri’ul-Muṣawwir
“He is Allah, the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner.”
— Surah Al-Hashr, 59:24
Allah is Al-Bāri’.
He created living creatures in many different forms.
Some are big.
Some are small.
Some have wings.
Some have fins.
Some have fur, feathers, scales, or shells.
All of them are part of Allah’s amazing creation.
Think About It
Think of three animals.
How are they different from one another?
4. Hadith Anchor
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to show kindness to animals.
He told us about a man who saw a thirsty dog.
The man gave the dog water.
Allah appreciated his kind action and forgave him.
The companions asked if there was a reward for being kind to animals.
The Prophet ﷺ taught them that there is reward for kindness to living creatures.
A Believer Is Kind
When we see an animal, we remember:
Allah created this animal.
We should not hurt it for fun.
We should be gentle and caring.
We can thank Allah for the wonderful animals He created.
5. Human Story
The Little Bird
One morning, a child saw a little bird sitting near the garden.
The bird had tiny feet, soft feathers, and two wings.
Soon, the bird opened its wings and flew into the air.
The child watched it carefully.
The teacher asked:
“Who created this little bird?”
The child answered:
“Allah created it.”
The teacher smiled and said:
“Yes. Allah is Al-Bāri’. Look at how wonderfully Allah created living things.”
The child watched the bird fly away and said:
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ
SubhanAllah.
The child began looking for other animals.
There was an ant crawling on the ground.
A butterfly flew near a flower.
A cat walked quietly beside a wall.
They were all different.
But they were all created by Allah.
What Can We Learn?
Animals can remind us of Allah’s wonderful creation.
Allah is Al-Bāri’.
6. Islamic Story & Reminder
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught people not to be cruel to animals.
He told us about a woman who treated a cat badly.
She kept the cat trapped and did not give it food or allow it to find food for itself.
The Prophet ﷺ warned us about such cruelty.
This teaches us something very important:
Animals are Allah’s creation.
We should treat them with care.
If an animal is hungry, we can feed it when it is safe and appropriate.
If an animal is thirsty, we can give it water.
We should never hurt or frighten animals just for fun.
Kindness to Allah’s creatures is part of good character.
7. What This Lesson Is NOT Saying
This lesson is not saying:
- You must know the name of every animal.
- You must understand how every animal lives.
- You must touch or go near every animal.
- Every animal is safe to play with.
- You must know everything about nature.
This lesson IS saying:
- Allah created animals.
- Allah created animals in many different forms.
- Animals are part of Allah’s creation.
- We can notice how wonderfully animals are made.
- We should be kind to animals.
- We can thank Allah for His creation.
8. Calm Reflection
Think about an animal you like.
Maybe it is a cat, bird, horse, rabbit, butterfly, fish, or another animal.
Think about what makes that animal special.
Does it have wings?
Does it have fur?
Can it swim?
Can it run?
Can it climb?
Now say softly:
“Allah created this animal.”
Think of another animal that looks completely different.
Say:
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ
SubhanAllah
Allah created so many different creatures.
9. Effort Check
Today, did you try to:
☐ Notice an animal Allah created?
☐ Think about how animals are different?
☐ Say SubhanAllah when noticing Allah’s creation?
☐ Treat an animal kindly?
☐ Thank Allah for the animals He created?
Every small effort to notice Allah’s creation and show kindness is valuable.
That is a good effort.
10. Closing Duʿāʾ
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي رَحِيمًا بِخَلْقِكَ
Allāhumma ij‘alnī raḥīman bi-khalqik
O Allah, make me kind to Your creation.
Āmīn.
Carry This With You
Allah created animals in wonderful ways, and I can treat them with kindness.
