Dua After Waking Up

Arabic

الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Transliteration

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyana ba’da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur.

Meaning

“All praise is for Allah, who gave us life after sleep, and to Him we will return.”

What Does It Mean?

When we sleep, Allah keeps us safe.

When we wake up, we thank Allah for giving us another beautiful day.

We should say this dua every morning before getting out of bed.
