Salaam Good Morning! A New Day!
When you wake up in the morning and open your eyes, who gave you this new day?
Allah did!
Allah loves you. Allah takes care of you while you sleep, and Allah wakes you up again in the morning. That is a big gift!
When someone gives you a gift, what do you say?
You say: “Thank you!”
So when you wake up, we say “Alhamdulillah” to thank Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us a beautiful dua to say when we wake up:
“Alhamdulillahil-ladhi ahyana ba‘da ma amatana wa ilayhi an-nushur.”
This means:
“All praise is for Allah who gave us life after sleep.”
When we say this dua, we are telling Allah:
“Thank You, Allah, for this new day!”
Look at Allah’s Beautiful Gifts
Allah gives us many, many gifts:
- Eyes to see
- Ears to hear
- ✋ Hands to hold
- Feet to walk and run
- A family who loves us
- Food to eat
- A home to live in
All of these gifts are from Allah.
So when you wake up, remember to say:
“Alhamdulillah!”
A Little Story
One morning, a little boy named Mahir woke up.
He opened his eyes and saw the bright sun.
His mother said,
“Mahir, who woke you up today?”
Mahir smiled and said:
“Allah woke me up!”
Then Mahir said:
“Alhamdulillah!”
His mother smiled and said:
“Very good! When we thank Allah, Allah loves us.”
Mahir felt happy because he remembered Allah first thing in the morning.

When you wake up tomorrow morning:
1️⃣ Open your eyes
2️⃣ Smile
3️⃣ Say the dua
4️⃣ Say Alhamdulillah
Now your day starts with Allah’s blessings!
Remember
When you thank Allah:
- Your heart feels happy
- Allah gives you more blessings
- Your day becomes beautiful
So every morning say:
“Alhamdulillah! Thank you, Allah!”
