Wudu Lesson 2: How Do We Make Wudu?

Learning Goals

Children will learn the steps of wudu in order.

Before We Start

1. Intention (Niyyah)

We make wudu because we want to obey Allah.

The intention is in the heart.

2. Say:

“Bismillah”

Meaning:
“In the Name of Allah.”

Steps of Wudu

1. Wash both hands three times.
2. Rinse the mouth three times.
3. Clean the nose three times.
4. Wash the face three times.
5. Wash the right arm, then the left arm.
6. Wipe the head.
7. Wipe the ears.
8. Wash the right foot, then the left foot.

Important Rules

At-Tarteeb (الترتيب)

This means doing the steps in the correct order.

We do not wash our feet before washing our face.

Al-Muwalah (الموالاة)

This means doing the steps one after another without a long break.

We do not stop and play in the middle of wudu.
