Learning Goals

By the end of this lesson, children will:

  • Know that wudu makes us clean.
  • Know that Allah loves cleanliness.
  • Know that wudu prepares us for salah.
  • Know that sins are forgiven when we make wudu properly.

What is Wudu?

Wudu is a special washing that Muslims do before praying.

Allah loves people who are clean.

When we make wudu, we clean our bodies and prepare to talk to Allah in salah.

Benefits of Wudu

1. Wudu Makes Us Clean

We wash our hands, mouth, face, arms, head, and feet.

2. Allah Loves Clean People

Allah loves those who keep themselves clean.

3. Wudu Helps Us Pray

We need wudu before salah.

4. Allah Forgives Sins

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that when a Muslim makes wudu, sins fall away.

5. Wudu Will Make Us Shine on the Day of Judgment

The Prophet ﷺ said that his followers will come with bright faces and bright arms and feet because of wudu.

6. Wudu Is a Way to Jannah

Doing good deeds, including making wudu and praying, helps us enter Jannah by Allah’s mercy.

Activity

Ask the children:

  • Who loves clean people?
  • What do we do before salah?
  • Does wudu make us clean?
