Hasan came into class with a quiet face. His teacher looked at him and gave him a warm smile.
Hasan smiled back.
Later that day, his mother told him something beautiful. She said, “The Prophet ﷺ smiled.”
Hasan looked up. “He smiled?”
“Yes,” she said. “He was gentle and kind. Smiling is a beautiful thing.”
Hasan thought about that. A smile can make someone feel happy. A smile can make someone feel welcome.
The next morning, Hasan saw his sister and smiled at her. Then he smiled at his grandmother too.
Everyone smiled back.
Hasan felt good inside. He remembered that the Prophet ﷺ smiled, and that made him want to smile with kindness too.
He said softly, “The Prophet ﷺ smiled.”
