Story

One day, dark clouds filled the sky. Soon, little drops began to fall.

“It’s raining!” said Layla.

She stood by the window and watched the drops slide down the glass. Tap, tap, tap.

Her grandmother came and stood beside her.

Layla asked, “Who sends the rain?”

Her grandmother smiled and said, “Allah sends rain.”

Layla watched the water fall on the ground. The trees became wet. The road became shiny. The flowers drank the rain.

“Rain helps the earth,” her grandmother said. “Allah sends rain as a blessing.”

Layla pressed her hand to the window and watched quietly.

Then she smiled and said, “Allah sends rain.”

Her grandmother nodded. “Yes. We thank Allah for His blessings.”

Layla looked outside one more time. The rain kept falling gently from the sky.

She whispered, “Alhamdulillah. Allah sends rain.”
